Kayfabe Version AWNA stands for Allstar Wrestling of North America, a wrestling league based out of St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. The league also has offices in Anaheim, California, USA and Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. It started as the 3 seperate leagues, the UCFW(St. John's, NFLD), CSW(Anaheim, Cl) and the HFW(Hamilton, ONT). But when the three feds colapsed, the owners got together & worked out a deal. In the end, the owner of the UCFW bought out the CSW & HFW, and preoceeded to build an empire. The process took 5 months, but then on January 1st it happened. That was the day that owner Steven Davis signed the papers announcing the opening of the fed. Opening date was set to some time in Febuary, 1999. The AWNA holds cards in five arenas, at the present time. They include Memorial Stadium(NFLD), Georgia Dome(Georgia), GM Place(BC), Copps Coliseum(Ontario), and The Anaheim Pond(California). These venus may play host to any of the AWNA's cards. All cards are telivised on the FOX Network in the US. In Canada TSN, carries both Security Breach & all Supercards. Currently there is no Canadian network carying Wednesday War. AWNA prides itself on providing family entertainment. Emphasis is on clean wrestling, as the cards focuses not on insane gimmick matches, but showcasing the true talents of the wrestlers involved. Although there are gimmick matches in the AWNA, most matches are not hardcore. AWNA is not mainstream extreme, is not any of those other catch phrases. It's simply a place where wrestlers wrestle. II. Non-Kayfabe Version AWNA is a fantasy wrestling league, one of many on the internet. It began in January 1999, when Steven Davis and others set the groundwork with a bunch of gifted e-wrestling handlers. From there, it grew. The goal of AWNA can be summed up quite easily in one word: fun. Many of us devote endless hours to this game, which is why it simply has to be fun. If you don't enjoy writing flashes, reading cards, or whatever, please don't do it. We try to provide handlers full control over their characters, allowing them to guide them wherever. To do this, however, you'll need to follow the angles. We try and use all of them, but keep in mind we're dealing with a large group of ideas. Don't get bent out of shape if something doesn't go your way once and a while. (¯`·.¸¸.->2. This is when the AWNA will honour the best of the best in such categories as "Wrestler of the Year" & "Match of the Year." This award show will also acompany the August PPV(held on August 31st). (¯`·.¸¸.->4. Who are the guys in those shows?<-.¸¸.·´¯) I. Sky Williams - "Face" commentator for the AWNA weekly show Security Breach. He is a man in his late thirties. Likes to wear a 'preppy' clothes at all times. Never lets cheating go unnoticed, and he will 'mark out' when the face hits his finisher. II. Tom Warner - "Heel" commentator of Security Breach. He is in his early twenties, he likes it when the heel cheats, and pokes fun at the faces. Basically, he's the ignorant teen that everyone labels the "Generation-X" stamp on. He also co-hosts Wednesday War. III. Doc Dudley - Reporter of the AWNA. He's the one who does all the hard work to get interviews. Will risk his own neck if it means getting an interview with a big star. He is also the host of Wednesday War. Also know as the "Insider". IV. Jimmy Spencer - Ring announcer of the AWNA. He was once a Las Vegas boxing announcer, until he was pulled away by the cash of Mr. Davis. V. Kato Savage - Head of Security for the AWNA. He once was a former Las Vegas 'bouncer' and bodyguard to some former Hollywood stars. Big & Fat, two qualities that help him control the audience and wrestlers of the AWNA. VI. Referees - AWNA has various referees, possibly more than imaginable. One of AWNA's trademarks is the hire a referee for one night, dump him the next. Some which will stick around, however, are: "JJ" Jack Jaspard (head ref, normally ref's Main Events) Grizzly Wellington (small, African American often sidetracked), Hans Foresmits (European, nerdy referee), Ian Hazzard(tough guy referee). But, they could be dropped at any second, too, and replaced with more one night workers. (¯`·.¸¸.->5. Rules<-.¸¸.·´¯) I. Personal Rules -maximum of two wrestler per handler -not all angles will go through -it's ok to insult wrestlers, BUT NOT handlers -keep swearing to a low. If you do go overboard I will suspend you for one card, consider that your warning. On the second ocasion you will be suspeded for an un-detirmened point of time. -No discriminatory comments(Rasism, etc.) -DON'T complain if you loose, there is a reason for everything. II. Roleplay Rules There are only a few of these, but they are necessary to discuss. Number one. Unless a wrestler is your partner, or you have special permission granted by ME, you may not USE another handlers wrestler in your RP. Even if the other wrestler is your partner(and you do not handle him), you must get their permission FIRST, and then you and the other handler must e-mail me stating the permission. Second. No ATTACKING another wrestler in your roleplay. If this happens, you will be suspended IMMEDIATELY with no exceptions. Next, do not speak of real wrestlers, federations, or announcers in your roleplays. That means I don't want you to say Shawn Micheals, WCW, or Jim Ross etc. in your roleplays. Unless there are special exceptions, and I will let you know if those come along. I also don't want you to say "e-wrestling" or "fantasy wrestling". We all know it's e-wrestling, but within the game, it's wrestling to the characters. III. Basic Match Rules Normal matches are held in a 16' x 16' square ring. The rules are as follows. You must try to pin the opponent's shoulders to the mat for three seconds. Or, you can make them submit. No weapons can be brought to the ring, but anything found at ringside (except steel chairs) is fair game. If you leave the ring, you have until the count of ten to return, or you will be counted out. Any extended breaking of the rules will also lead to an immediate disqualification. IV. Gimmick Matches? Yes, but most gimmick matches are used for Extreme matches. There are exceptions though. Some gimmick matches include: No DQ or Countout Falls Count Anywhere Ladder Match Weapons Match Strap Match Handcuff Match Cage Match Parking Lot Brawl and many more. The possibilites are endless. V. Original or Real Wrestlers? We are also strictly for Original or 'fake' wrestlers. This means there will be no Steve Austin or Hollywood Hogan. I also don't want to see five hundred wrestlers walking around saying "Suck It!" or "Know Your Role". I also don't want to see cheap ripoffs such as "The Sniper" Bret Michaels or "Dangerously Strong" Ken Henry. Get the point. Being original is part of the fun. It doesn't take much work to copy off of a wrestler you see every week on TV. And also, being original can get you a big push. (¯`·.¸¸.->6. How are matches decided?<-.¸¸.·´¯) I. HJS The Allstar Wrestling of North America is a federation run by the HJS simulator. HJS stands for Human Judgement System. Therefore, I will be deciding the winners of the matches, along with help from the booker & other Executives. You should all understand that we are all humans and make mistakes, so if I make a decision you don't like, E-Mail me and talk civilized about it. I will re-evaluate my decision, and it could possibly lead to something more of your liking. Matches are also decided by the angles we have going around. There may come a time where you'll have to do the job to get another wrestler over for an angles sake or for the angle you are in. But don't worry, we'll all get a turn in the lime light. Effort is another big part of roleplays. We can't all pump out 100 line roleplays. But that doesn't mean you don't put as much effort in. If you consistently do a good job on roleplaying, you'll get your push. Strats help you guide your wrestler in the actual wrestling ring. You can submit specific moves, sequences, targets, or anything else he might do during the match & the rest of the card for that matter. But don't send in strats that say "I'll pound him unconsious with a bat", be a bit more realistic. Here's how the numbers break down: Roleplaying\In-Rings - 45% Angles - 25% Strats - 20% Effort - 10% II. Roleplaying Roleplays(or Flashes) are where you get to speak for your wrestler. They're what the league sees, and how people will react. This pretty much where things happen in how the character grows. When flashing, use common sense. Don't use excessive profanity, or if you do, [bleep] it out. Don't use other wrestlers without permission. Don't use racial remarks, or anything else which may offend. Use your best judgement when sending things in. There are two spots for roleplays. One is in-ring interviews, these are only availible on request. There are only two spots on each card opened for In-Ring's, so first come first serve. The next is the AWNA's main way of roleplaying. And that is the daily Roleplay Packets. These will consist of 10-15 flashes, and one won't be sent out untill we have that number. Feel free to use the AWNA fictional staff in your interviews, provided you keep them in character. If you'd like to use somebody to interview your wrestler for a flash, Doc Dudley is always the best choice, as he'll stick to asking questions. But, feel free to use anybody else, including Tom Warner if you really want to get crazy. AWNA formats all it's shows the same way, trying to keep the flashes in a recognizable format. This is the format: [Setting, descriptions, actions here.] JG - "Talk here." Any descriptions or actions go into square [...] brackets, while any spoken word go in quotation "..." marks. To start a wrestler's speech, use the initials of their name(shown above), followed by two spaces, a dash, and two more spaces. Although we'd like you to help us out and use this format, it's not compulsory. But it does count for some "brownie points." But more than likely as long as we can read it, it's fine. The AWNA usec the CFS. The CFS is the "Closed Flash System." What this means is when you won't send Roleplays out to all members. All RP's are sent to ONE e-mail address, from there it will be disrubuted in a Roleplay Packet. These packets will be sent out every 10-15 Roleplays. III. Strategies\Strats Strats help you guide your wrestler in the actual wrestling ring. You can submit specific moves, sequences, targets, or anything else he might do during the match. We try and follow all strategies, but it may not be possible all the time based on somebody else's strategy. Keep that in mind. Again, use your best judgement when strategizing. Obviously you can't strat to beat the other wrestler up with a baseball bat, but you can say, you will use a bat. Non-match strategies are covered in the next section on angles. IV. Angles Possibly one of the most important aspects of AWNA, creating angles allows you to truly guide your wrestler to greatness. AWNA always tries to accomodate its handlers by using their angles, keeping it as a handler participation league. Angles may include post match attacks on another wrestler, turning on another wrestler, doing something during the show, or things like that. Anything which you'd like your wrestler to do on the Security Breach & War, but doesn't involve wrestling is classified as an angle. But, angles also includes the long term planning between two wrestlers. More often then not, these involve two or more handlers working on a storyline between their two wrestlers. And, more often then not, these are the most interesting angles, as it has double the brain power working on it. We encourage these types of angles, with proper notice. Please tell the Front Office about these angles, and send in the story lines! Angles allow you to control your wrestler. Make use of them!! (¯`·.¸¸.->7. Title Overview<-.¸¸.·´¯) I. Deadlines<-.¸¸.·´¯) Sometimes, you can get away with sending things after the deadline. We're pretty flexible. But, when we can't wait any longer, or have to work on something with the deadline in mind, they are followed. This is the warning, so don't complain if you send something post-deadline and it's not used. I. Security Breach Roleplays: Friday afternoon, 3:00 EST. Strats: Thursday night, Midnight EST. In-rings (on request): Saturday mourning, 9:00 eastern Angle requests: Thursday night, Midnight eastern II. Wednesday War Roleplays: Tuesday night, Midnight EST. Strats: Tuesday night, Midnight EST. AWNA isn't what everybody wants in an e-fed. Take a look at some of our shows, take a look at the wrestlers, and read this document! If after all that you really want in, remember that AWNA only has a limited number of roster spots. This is typicall around 24 singles, 8 tag teams, to ensure that everybody is active and receives matches every week. This means that we may not be able to accomodate you right away if you want in. So first comes first serve, and if you don't get it you'll be put on a waiting list. **There are other ways to be accepted or get the 'ocasionall' push\ title shots.
